The Dalles Chronicle
David Gray Anderson died Tuesday, Feb. 21 at the Klickitat Valley Hospital in Goldendale.
He was born Nov. 24, 1951, in Alberta, Canada. He spent his teenage years in the Hood River area, where he grew up on a ranch on Fir Mountain and went to high school in Hood River.
After high school, he joined the Marine Corps, where he was honorably discharged. All his life he loved cars, trucks and railroads, so it made sense that he became a long haul truck driver and an avid model railroader. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting when he got the chance. He also loved animals, especially small dogs, who were his constant companion on the road.
His younger brothers Donald and Dennis survive him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol, his father, Richard, and his brothers Douglas and Daniel.
A memorial service will be Saturday, March 3, at 11 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Goldendale.
It was Dave’s wish that all should know the dangers of smoking, as it was lung cancer that prematurely took his life.

Happy New Year!!!
There will be a local gathering on Monday, January 23 at 6pm - location to
be announced as Charburger is closed for 2 weeks during that time. Divots
is not available that night so I'll check on Grace Sue's unless someone has
a better suggestion. I'll let you know the location when I send out the
reminder email closer to the date.
Update on Randall Lee's wife, Jan: she is out of the hospital in Portland and is
at Mid Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles undergoing intense physical,
occupational and speech therapy. She is making progress – but - she has
a long way to go. She can have visitors.
Linda Carter was kind enough to send this additional info tonight: My
sister and her husband ( he is Randall and Jan's Nephew) just came from
visiting with Jan. She did recognize them and was able to whisper their
name. She has come a long way and She has a long way to go. They did say,
she is able to get on fb and read messages that are posted to her Facebook
page. So please let everyone know to post messages* *when they can. Janice
Waters Lee. Thanks.*
August 18 will be here before we know it so we need to get some further
discussion going on the Birthday Party.
