I was remiss in not getting photos at the pre-function hosted by Rich Cushman and Steve Bickford, my apologies.  Rich and Steve were very gracious hosts and the wine tasting and appetizers were superb!  Thanks!

Last Chance for the Birthday Party - door prizes needed

It’s the first of August, only 18 days until our birthday party!

Last chance to let us know if you’re coming, need to let the Charburger know very soon.  We need to hear from you by August 8.

Cost per person is $19.70 for a BBQ sandwich meal, non alcoholic beverage and birthday cake.  Beer and wine will be available for purchase.

Checks can be made out to Wy’east Class of 1970 and mailed to Debbie Lyddon Vaday at PO Box 323, Husum, WA 98623 or given to us at the door.

Ruth Daley Beecher is setting up a table for classmates that are in business for themselves to display their products and/or business cards for networking purposes.  You need not be present to participate in this.   Sent us your product or business cards and we’ll display them.   We’d like to use the displayed product as door prizes.

Steve Bickford and Rich Cushman will be hosting a pre-function at their wine production facility at the Bickford home place at 1930 Hwy 35, Hood River at 3 pm, just an informal gathering to extend the visiting (no tasting required). Camille’s Gorge White House is just up the road with Richard’s Viento Wine tasting room there and Steve’s Mt. Hood Winery near by as well for a stop on our way to dinner.

For those that haven’t responded to this either way, we’d still like to confirm current contact info we have for you.

Summer greetings to Wy’east classmates!    Reminder that we’d like an RSVP for the August 18^th 60^th Birthday Party by August 1.  We have to give the restaurant a head count shortly after that date.  (Actually we’d like you to RSVP even if you can’t attend so we can confirm your contact info).   To those that have already RSVP’d, please disregard this first paragraph.

Final planning/local gathering will be meeting July 30 at 6 pm at the Hood River Charburger. Everyone is invited to that gathering if you’re in town as well.

60th Birthday Party - RSVP needed

Wy'east Class of 1970 turns 60 this year, it's time to celebrate!

August 18, 2012 at 6pm at Charburger Country in Hood River.

This will be an informal birthday celebration for Class of 70.  Cost for the party will be $19.70 per person for a BBQ sandwich, sides & non alcoholic beverages plus Birthday cake!

There will be a pre-function gathering at Steve Bickford's winery production facility on Hwy 35 at 3p with possible stops at Camille's Gorge White House and Richard's new Viento tasting room on the way to the Charburger.

HoodRiver.org has info on accommodations and other things to do if you're traveling in from out of state or haven't been to Hood River in a while.

There will be a table for classmates to display their business info and/or products.  If you would like to donate the display product for a drawing during the birthday party, please contact Ruth Daley Beecher via the wyeast70@gmail.com.

Those that have contact via facebook and/or email will not be mailed a card with the info about the party in the interest of saving trees and money.

Next Charburger gathering will be Monday, 7/30 at 6p.   We will finalize the last minute details of the Birthday Party on 8/18.
